Joy Is Coming: A Divine Exchange
In this uplifting message, the preacher declares that no matter how long a season of trial, sorrow, or disappointment has lasted, joy is on its way because it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit rather than a product of circumstance. Drawing from the stories of Hannah, Joseph, and the prophet Habakkuk, the sermon encourages believers to surrender their pain to God and trust His perfect timing, exchanging ashes for beauty and mourning for gladness. Congregants are invited to release bitterness and disappointment and step into a fresh season of laughter, restoration, and unshakable joy in the Lord.
Overview
Preaching from Psalm 30:5, the minister declares that whatever season of "night" — grief, barrenness, financial hardship, marital pain, or waiting — a believer is walking through, it is temporary and joy is on its way. The message distinguishes joy (a fruit of the Holy Spirit, unaffected by circumstance) from happiness (a reaction to favorable events), and calls the congregation to surrender their pain to God and make a deliberate "exchange" of ashes for beauty, mourning for gladness, and heaviness for praise. The sermon closes with the example of Habakkuk, who chose to rejoice in the Lord even when every visible sign of blessing had failed.
Key Scripture Passages
- Psalm 30:5 — God's anger (discipline) is momentary, but weeping lodges only for a night; joy arrives with the morning.
- Psalm 126:1–2 — When the Lord restored Zion's captivity, the people were "like them that dream," their mouths filled with laughter and singing.
- Isaiah 61:3 — God offers a divine exchange: beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
- Isaiah 35:10 — The ransomed of the Lord return with singing and everlasting joy; sorrow and sighing flee away.
- Revelation 21:4 — God will wipe away every tear; former things — death, sorrow, crying, pain — will pass away.
- Habakkuk 3:17–19 — Even when fig tree, vine, olive, flock, and field yield nothing, the prophet chooses to rejoice in the God of his salvation.
- Genesis 1:3–4 (referenced) — God separated light from darkness at creation, illustrating that night is never permanent and darkness cannot overtake the day.
- 1 Samuel 1 (referenced, Hannah's story) — Hannah's silent, wordless weeping before the Lord models tears God sees and eventually answers.
- Genesis 37–41 (referenced, Joseph's story) — Joseph's dream survived pit, slavery, and prison before its appointed fulfillment.
Sermon Outline
- Joy is a fruit of the Spirit, not a product of circumstance.
- Happiness depends on "happenings" (a new job, good news); joy is given by the Holy Spirit regardless of situation.
- Illustration: a poor man with nothing can still laugh and rest in joy because it is spiritually rooted, not circumstantial.
- Point 1 — Your night has an expiration date (Psalm 30:5).
- Just as day always follows night, sorrow, poverty, marital crisis, and trouble are seasons, not permanent destinations.
- God separated darkness from light at creation (Genesis 1) and continues to do so in the believer's life.
- Illustration: Joseph's brothers did not recognize him — a picture of how one's future testimony can outshine one's past reputation.
- Point 2 — God can turn your captivity into laughter (Psalm 126:1–2).
- When God turns captivity, the change is so dramatic it feels like a dream.
- Praise and singing should precede the miracle — singing before the breakthrough is joy; singing only after it is merely happiness.
- Point 3 — Give God your ashes; make the exchange (Isaiah 61:3).
- Surrender what cannot be controlled — especially situations tied to other people's choices (marriage, children, relationships).
- Dwelling on pain and unresolved offense can produce bitterness, which the preacher links to physical sickness (e.g., stress-related illness).
- Exchange bitterness for peace, ashes for beauty, mourning for the oil of joy, and heaviness for a garment of praise.
- Outward appearance (grooming, color, presentation) can reflect an inward refusal to be defined by hardship.
- The enemy's strategy: discouragement steals strength.
- The enemy shifts focus from faith to fear by highlighting visible circumstances.
- Countered by declaring "I don't see it, but I believe it" — an act of faith (Hebrews 11:1 referenced).
- Point 5 — Sorrow and sighing shall flee (Isaiah 35:10).
- Joy is released so that sorrow is displaced — the two cannot coexist indefinitely.
- Singing (in the shower, in the car) actively pushes away sighing and sorrow.
- Point 6 — God has not forgotten your tears.
- Reference to Hannah's silent anguish at Shiloh — tears too deep for words are still seen by God.
- Revelation 21:4 promises a day when God wipes away every tear and former pains pass away.
- Testimony of physical healing shared as evidence of faith activating breakthrough.
- Point 7 — Can you rejoice before the fig tree blossoms? (Habakkuk 3:17–19).
- True joy does not wait for visible results; Habakkuk rejoiced while every sign of provision had failed.
- Illustration: a preacher who lost an engagement two years prior later saw the relationship's outcome vindicate God's timing.
- Illustration: a woman who remained faithful in hard circumstances was later married to "the best man."
- Closing charge: when one door closes, do not linger in grief — move toward the next open door God has ordained.
Theological Insights
- Joy as fruit, not feeling: The sermon reflects Galatians 5:22–23, where joy is listed among the singular "fruit of the Spirit" — an organic, Spirit-produced character trait rather than a manufactured emotion, and interconnected with love, peace, and long-suffering.
- The theology of momentary affliction: Psalm 30:5 sets divine discipline ("anger") in contrast with divine favor — anger is described as fleeting, favor as life-long, echoing Paul's language in 2 Corinthians 4:17 of "light affliction, which is but for a moment."
- Corporate restoration as sign and wonder: Psalm 126 was likely composed after Israel's return from Babylonian exile — a historical captivity used here as a template for personal restoration; the psalm models praise preceding full realization of the promise.
- The "great exchange" motif: Isaiah 61:3, quoted by Jesus in Luke 4:18–19 as the inauguration of His messianic ministry, frames joy not as self-generated cheerfulness but as a priestly garment God Himself provides in exchange for grief — a foretaste of the gospel's exchange of Christ's righteousness for human sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).
- Eschatological hope: Revelation 21:4 situates present tears within the larger biblical arc culminating in the new heaven and new earth, where sorrow is permanently abolished — the sermon applies this future certainty as present comfort.
- Faith that rejoices apart from outcome: Habakkuk's closing doxology (3:17–19) is a classic biblical model of joy detached from circumstance, paralleling Job's "though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him" (Job 13:15) and Paul's exhortation to "rejoice in the Lord always" (Philippians 4:4).
- Surrender and sovereignty: The teaching that humans were given dominion over creation but not over other people's wills (Genesis 1:26–28) undergirds the call to surrender relationships and outcomes that are outside personal control.
Word & Context Study
- "Ashes for beauty" (Isaiah 61:3): In the Hebrew text the wordplay is pe'er (a beautiful headdress or turban) exchanged for epher (ashes) — a near-homophone pun in the original language emphasizing the totality and elegance of the reversal; sitting in ashes was an ancient Near Eastern mourning practice (cf. Job 2:8), so the prophecy pictures mourners removing sackcloth and ashes to be crowned instead.
- "Sighing shall flee away" (Isaiah 35:10): The verse belongs to a larger oracle describing the "Highway of Holiness," a redeemed pathway back to Zion — sorrow is pictured as a pursuer that cannot keep pace with the returning, joyful remnant.
- Hannah at Shiloh (1 Samuel 1:12–15): Hannah prayed silently, her lips moving without audible sound, so that Eli the priest mistook her for drunk — an example used in the sermon of grief too deep for articulate words, later described in Romans 8:26 as groanings the Spirit interprets.
- Joseph's narrative (Genesis 37–41): Cited as the paradigm of a God-given destiny (the dream of the sun, moon, and stars bowing) that passed through betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment before its "appointed time" — a recurring biblical pattern of delayed fulfillment used to frame present hardship as preparation, not rejection.
Application
- Distinguish joy from happiness in daily life: cultivate joy as a Spirit-given posture rather than waiting for circumstances to improve.
- Identify what "ashes" — bitterness, unresolved offense, painful memories — need to be surrendered to God rather than continually revisited.
- Practice praising and singing before seeing the answer to prayer, as an act of faith rather than a response to results.
- Let go of control over people and outcomes that were never within your power to change (spouses, children, employers), entrusting them to God.
- Guard against dwelling on fear-based thoughts; replace rehearsed worries with declarations of faith ("I don't see it, but I believe it").
- When one door (a relationship, job, or season) closes, resist prolonged grieving and actively move toward the next opportunity God provides.
- Let inner restoration show outwardly — through renewed care for one's appearance and demeanor — as a testimony that hardship no longer defines you.
Reflection & Discussion Questions
- How does the sermon's distinction between "joy" (fruit of the Spirit) and "happiness" (a response to happenings) match or challenge how you typically experience joy?
- Psalm 30:5 says weeping endures "for a night." What "night season" are you currently in, and what would it look like to trust that it has an expiration date?
- Isaiah 61:3 describes an exchange God offers — ashes for beauty, mourning for joy. What specific "ashes" do you need to bring to God this week?
- The preacher describes praising God before the miracle appears, calling it the mark of joy rather than happiness. What is one situation where you could choose to praise God in advance of seeing the outcome?
- Hannah's grief was so deep she could not speak it aloud, yet God heard her. How does this shape the way you understand seasons when you don't have words to pray?
- Habakkuk rejoiced even when every source of provision failed (Habakkuk 3:17–19). What would it look like for you to "rejoice in the Lord" regardless of an unresolved circumstance in your life right now?
Conclusion
The central call of this message is a summons to trust that no season of sorrow, waiting, or hardship is final — that God Himself, who separated light from darkness at creation, is actively working to turn weeping into morning joy. Believers are invited into a deliberate exchange: surrendering ashes, bitterness, and grief at God's altar and receiving in return beauty, praise, and the settled joy of the Holy Spirit — a joy that, like Habakkuk's, does not wait for the fig tree to blossom before it sings.

take your pen take your book as we get into the word of the Lord hallelujah my
god somebody said this month of august i will walk in joy hallelujah i just want you to know i know
that you learned it in the bible study joy is not something that somebody does for you that brings
joy since so joy actually comes from it's a fruit of the spirit one of the fruits of the spirit amen
hallelujah so joy is not something that because my children are doing good i'm in joy no that is
that's the difference between joy and happiness happiness is happiness you get a new job you begin
to be happy so things are happening to you to make you are happy hallelujah so happy is happenings
but joy is just something it's as fruit of the spirit that is given to you by the holy spirit
and when the holy spirit gives you joy it doesn't matter what circumstance you are in
amen it doesn't have you let's say those of us that are from africa will tell you you can meet
this poor man sitting under this mango tree he has nothing but you just wait top him he can't sleep
how many hours you can wake him up and he's just laughing and you are saying you are looking at his
situation and saying this guy what is wrong with him but he has joy oh somebody hallelujah
you can sometimes you can pray in the holy spirit for so many hours and although you have not received
whatever god has asked for you you have this joy and peace amen so joy actually comes from what the
holy spirit nobody can give you joy it is a fruit of what of the holy spirit so church i came with
a word for somebody today that joy is coming oh you are not clapping your hands this morning i
came to give you a word that what joy is coming because i don't know how long you have been in the
night season i don't know how long you have been through trials and tribulations i don't know how
long you have cried for the same situation i don't know how long you have been going around many times
waiting for the hand of god the move of god and nothing has happened i need to tell you today
that this month that we have entered god is saying that joy is coming hallelujah joy is coming so i
came today i have an announcement that joy is coming hallelujah that situation have you had a
situation in your life that anytime you think about it you grinch how many of us have those
situations god said i should come and give you a word today that joy is coming that those areas
he's going to turn it around for good so that anytime you think about that area you cannot cry
anymore you will do nothing but rejoice or somebody turn to your neighbor and say joy is coming
hallelujah because i need to tell you that night time is not permanent listen to me all of us went
to bed last night but today we got up and sunlight is here this is to tell all of us that night time
is not what permanence your sorrow and your disappointment is not permanent your poverty
that you are going through is not permanent that marital crisis that you are in somebody it is not
permanent that troublesome children it is not permanent that financial problem it is not
permanent oh somebody joy is coming hallelujah there is nothing permanent since when we are
going through something we feel like it's but have you ever been sick before and you think
that this thing is coming to this is what is going to bring you to the end of it hallelujah
but i need to tell you i'll give you an assurance today that joy is coming you are going to come
out of that situation and we are going to give a testimony to many in the mighty name of jesus
hallelujah so let us all go to the book of psalms chapter 30 verse 5. psalm chapter 30 verse 5.
psalms chapter 30 verse 5. the book of psalms chapter 30 verse 5. for his anger endured by the
moment for his anger so sometimes listen the things that we have done that sometimes you know
we feel like that god almighty is angry with us the word of god is telling me to tell you today
that his anger and your rabbit for a moment in his favor is what it's life
weeping may endure for what at night but joy cometh in the morning oh his anger there is
but a moment in his anger but for a night in the evening joy oh somebody there is one singing
hallelujah i don know i gone through some things that i go to bed and i when i going to bed i i so heavy and i pray and i will lay down and then i wake up and that thing has been lifted i need to tell somebody that god is going to lift up that pain of your life
is it a disease is it an infirmity is it trouble that you are going through you let me tell us with
a twinkle i'll wake up and it's as if nothing happened before i went to bed since so god is
telling me to tell you that that season that you are in that season of darkness and pain and shame
and reproach there is a lifting that is coming for you and you are going to come out of that
my god weeping may endure for a night but joy coming in the morning hallelujah
hallelujah oh somebody shout joy is moving in my direction
oh somebody tell your neighbor say joy has an appointment with you
oh go and slap somebody's head and tell them joy oh has an appointment with you
hallelujah you see let me tell you there is no negotiation when it comes to night and day
do you know that you can let me tell all of us we see the sunlight then before you know it there's
darkness then before listen have you ever seen six o'clock seven o'clock and darkness says i'll
take over no because the word of god said told us in the book of genesis that when the god looked
down upon the face of the earth he looked upon the deep and saw darkness and he began to speak
light be. And one thing that
he did, and he did the permanently, is that he
separated darkness from light.
Somebody, hallelujah.
I need you to lift up your hand into the atmosphere
and say, I separate
myself
from everything
that is called darkness
in this
month of August,
in the month
of September,
October,
November,
and December.
I am in the light.
Oh.
Hallelujah.
Oh somebody, hallelujah.
Oh somebody, hallelujah.
Oh somebody, shout hallelujah.
Oh somebody, jump hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
I just want you to believe that that
show that you are going through, the morning will come.
sometimes it's as if it will never come to an end i don't know about you but sometimes you can go
through a situation that you think it will never come to an end but i'm telling you that the one
that created the heavens at the end that separated darkness from light is separating darkness so that
that didn't that thing that brings tears will turn around and bring you joy in the mighty name of
jesus hallelujah if you are taking notes put down number one your night has an expiration day write
it down my night has aspiration that it will expire oh hallelujah it has aspiration that is
going to expire hallelujah so my night i need you to understand that your night is a season and not
what a destination that is what sometimes we oh i am barren and you think that barrenness is a
it's a season that season will pass amen you are destined to walk in joy hallelujah hallelujah so
it's like you need to embrace the assignment that i will survive the night you see what i'm saying
you gotta get to a place where you push yourself to a place and say that this season that i'm in
i will survive it will not kill me the enemy wants me to die in this season but i will not die
one day i will look and see that this thing has passed me by oh hallelujah one day i will look
and divorce has passed me by oh somebody one day i will look and poverty has passed me by
oh somebody one day i will look and see joblessness has passed me back because it is just a season
hannah went through that season when she was barren and she was looking for a child and the word of
god said that penina was harassing her what day and night you see sometimes our adversaries
thinks that we are going to be in the same position somebody may you disappoint your
adversaries this month of august hallelujah you know that there are some people they are always
waiting to hear your bad story oh some of them identify you with the bad story somebody some of
them have put your name next to the bad story but this month of august somebody may you disappoint
your enemies so they are looking for you they are looking for you like joseph his brothers they were
listen they they already knew that joseph was they have put him in a position where he was not able
to arise so do you know that when they went to that place he showed up there and did not even
recognize them somebody i pray for you for this month of august may your enemies not recognize
you in the name of jesus hallelujah they saw him they didn't realize he was joseph his brother that
they slept can you let me tell you now in ghana they say something somebody you know them you
don't need to shine a light in your eyes you know that sometimes some people when you know them they
are footsteps alone when it's coming you can tell agnes is coming mary is coming you can just tell
the footsteps my listen but they go to a point that he was standing in front of them but they
did not recognize him because darkness has departed from joseph somebody has declared to you that this
amount of audience darkness has departed from you the people that saw you before they will not
recognize you again because god has changed your story hallelujah they won't remember you again
they are debating is it here is it is it oh my god i think this sunday i was looking so fresh
but somebody sent my picture to one of my my family members no no no it's not here they said
it is here no no no it is not here it is here oh somebody may they have a debate about you may they
have a debate about you hallelujah may there be a debate it's not here this is so hey this
here and then you can just show up and say it is me oh somebody hallelujah oh somebody hallelujah
my god because what your night has what an aspiration day some things need to aspire
since the troubles need to aspire oh the negative story need to aspire the sickness and infirmity
needs to aspire i declare over you that everything that looks darkness is aspiring right now
in the mighty name of jesus lord god right the number two god can turn your captivity into laughter
listen to me the lord god almighty not man since most of us we have depended so much on people
but i need you to come to a place that god the almighty god can turn your captivity
into laughter amen let's look at psalm 126 verse 1 to 2. psalm 126 verse 1 to 2. there are some
things that bring joy joy unspeakable when god tends your captivity says my god my god when god
tends that captivity you have no choice but to walk in joy my god hallelujah mama mama he said
when the law a song of let's read it a song of decrease when the lord turn again the captivity
of zion we were like them that dream turned to return the returning what translation is this i
don't know hallelujah amen when the lord turned again the captivity of zion we were like them that
dream god changed your situation so dramatically that they could hardly believe it amen since god
said i should tell you this month of august he's going to turn some captivity it's going to be as
if you are dreaming since have you ever experienced something that you say no this one i don't think
it's happening oh are you you know we back we used to say pinch me and let me see if i'm alive oh
somebody my god you about to go around to tell everybody pinch me and let me know if i'm alive
today hallelujah because there are some things i'm telling you that only god can do it
hallelujah oh somebody there are some things what only god can do it and he said that this month of
august he is standing in your captivity oh hallelujah oh hallelujah let's go and he says what
and say their mouth will be filled with laughter and their tongues with singing so god is going to
tense of captivity you are going around you are singing and says listen the singing need to come
before the miracle some of us we want the miracle before the singing that is what we call because
when you are singing after the miracle it's called happiness but when you have joy you sing before
the miracle oh somebody this month of august you are going to go around and begin to praise
that lord you are just praising god oh you are just praising god and people will be just looking
at you and say oh pastor apostle what has happened something nothing has happened but i
said oh my god i said that there is going to be an abundance of rain my god you have not seen the
rain here but you know the red is coming oh somebody this month of august oh i will walk in joy
i will walk in joy hallelujah hallelujah because you can already see what the lord is going to do
in your life when he turned the captivity of zion it was to them like what people that dreamed
and then our mouth shall be filled with laughter oh and we shall go around and say the lord has done
great things the lord has great damn great things oh somebody this month of august you are just
going to go around and tell people the lord has done what great things oh hallelujah oh somebody
hallelujah oh somebody hallelujah man because you see there is a scripture that says the joy of the
lord is our strength listen do you know that how you know that the enemy is attacking you is that
he brings sorrow he wants he moves your attention he moves you from faith to fear
so all you see is what is happening oh look at my husband look at my children look at my finances
look at my job that's what the enemy and what the actually the enemy is doing is bringing you to a
place of discouragement and as long as the enemy can discourage you he can steal your strength
and then all of a sudden you cannot dream again hallelujah but if you operate it under the gift
of joy oh somebody hallelujah oh somebody hallelujah you don't have oh somebody shout i don't see it
i don't see it but i believe it i believe it oh somebody tell to your neighbor i don't see it
but i believe it oh i don't see my million dollar bank account oh but somebody shout i believe it
hallelujah amen because faith says that the faith is the substance of this world
hope for and the evidence of things were not seen i don't i don't see but i believe it yes i don't
see but i so now that will activate the joy that spirit of joy amen because if you look at everything
around you you'll be discouraged but when you look upon the word of god you can have joy hallelujah
and receive whatever it is for you number three write this down give god your ashes some of us
it is time for us to surrender everything that is painful to us surrender that marital pain
do you know that there are some i've come to listen says listen to me and listen to me again
there are things that you can change it's only the things that are in your hand
As long as it is you, you can make a change.
But anything that has connection with somebody in the relationship, it is not in your hands anymore.
So God is telling us that it is time for us to surrender those ashes to him.
Surrender.
Listen, if it is a job that is giving you problems, somebody turn to your neighbor and say, surrender.
If it is your marriage that is giving you a problem, let me tell you, you better do what?
Surrender.
Your children, you do what?
Surrender.
The ministry, surrender.
oh somebody because you cannot make it you cannot change you know that that is the only thing that
god did not give us power for he's when you look at the book of genesis god created us he gave us
dominion upon the face of the earth the foul the cattle he didn't say have dominion right now if i
tell pastary go to sleep she said she will sleep what are you going to do so the things that is
stealing your joy god is telling me to tell you today let it go amen and you know that let me tell
you sometimes you know what the enemy does let me tell some if you are thinking about this so long
do you know that's what he hit you hard because job one day begin to say the thing that i fear most
has come on to me so the things that we dwell on the things that we think on you know i told
you a story about how the uh they said fidelity bank sent me a check and the money was missing
do you know that i was going to my back every day i'll go to my and i'll check the why is this
chef why is it do you know that the day they found the check and put in the account i didn't know
i didn't even realize because at the time i've come to a place where i wasn't thinking about it
anymore amen have you come to can we get to a place where we surrender things unto the lord
and stop thinking about it since i'm telling there are some things do you know that if you
continue to think about it they will it will actually give you a heart attack do you know
that bitterness is what has caused people to have cancer oh do you know that a lot of people with
diagnosis of cancer is because of bitterness they are saying oh yeah and i did this for this person
and what if they don't come back what if they don't even come and thank you what if you raise
them and they don't appreciate you at the end of the day leave everything unto the lord
surrender totally surrender you have no control over any man oh somebody tell me i have no control
over any man i have no control over any woman so i surrender unto jesus surrender unto jesus
the author and the finisher of my faith and finisher of my faith because since i'm telling
you that is the only way you can enjoy the fruits of the spirit because you know that the fruits of
the spirit they are all connecting love joy that is why when you read the word they didn't say fruits
it said fruit of the spirit it means that they are all connected love if you can't operate in love
you cannot operate in joy if you cannot pray in joy you cannot operate in peace if you cannot
pray in peace you cannot have long suffering oh somebody hallelujah they are all one so now god
is telling us to come to a place that we surrender those ashes isaiah chapter 61 verse 3 let's go
there my mama you can see how there should be an exchange since i'm telling you you have to
exchange some things in the throne of grace and actually go there and say father if this is the
bitterness that i'm going through i exchange it for peace my god the anger that i'm going through
because i helped somebody and they did not want to even acknowledge me what do i do i gotta surrender
that then and pick up the peace of god oh somebody hallelujah oh he the word of god said as long as
according to you make sure you live at peace with all men so i need to ask you what is it that is
causing your bitterness right now what is it that has stolen your joy right now what is the kind of
darkness that you are in right now what is the thing that you want to change it immediately
somebody i need to call you right now that they are doing this service that you make an exchange
Oh somebody, hallelujah
Exchange that bitterness and pick up forgiveness
In a dimension beyond your own imagination
Oh somebody, you got to get to a place where you have a sacrifice of joy
Not because you are so happy
But one thing that you know that my God
He will work everything together for my God
You might see me down right now
But one day I tell you
I shall arise.
Thank you, Lord.
Look at the exchange.
In Isaiah chapter 61.
To appoint unto them that morning Zion.
What are you mourning about?
To give them what?
To give them beauty for ashes.
The oil of joy for mourning.
Beauty.
So make an exchange.
Yes.
take beauty and remove the ashes yes because you know that sometimes the depression that
the enemy put upon us it can show with your outfit you put it yes my god if you don't take care you
be the type of person every day sometimes i see people in chan say take off the black
i take them make a point to take off the black that you keep wearing and change your colors
because sometimes the enemy can put sadness on you you gotta remove it it's a garment because
since whatever you are you show it in the spirit you bring it into the physical realm hallelujah
so remove that garment that darkness remove that what he said what give unto them what beautiful
ashes the oil of joy for mourning and the women let me tell you do you see what what is the what
beautiful ashes ah have you seen a nice man he cut his head nicely oh my cat you can look at even
the socks on their feet alone you know grace has touched them hallelujah amen they don't have to
do it you could see just their cut and you know something they'll be doing hey hey hey hallelujah
hallelujah that is what we call what beautiful ashes because it means that you are not allowing
the situation that you are in to identify you since i'm telling you stop then that is the day
women get up take your good shower oh somebody fix yourself stand in the mirror ah make do your makeup
and say i am fearfully and wonderfully made
oh hallelujah put your best perfume on when somebody else where are you going i am here
hallelujah yeah where are you going i am here you don't even know where to go i am here oh
somebody hallelujah oh somebody hallelujah because since listen the enemy want to put
you in darkness bitterness sorrow disappointment shame and reproach the enemy want to identify you
by what you have gone through but you need to push out and begin to declare i am not what you think
you think i am i am what god says i am beautiful ashes hallelujah the oil of joy for what for
gladness hallelujah uh-huh uh-huh and what uh-huh the government of praise for the spirit of what
heaviness so you come to realize that the government of prayer is the government
that you got to put on amen that is why the word of god says that when we get up in the morning
put on the full armor of god that you'll be able to stand against what the walls of the enemy
so there is an armor you need to put on yes there is a garment you need to put on hallelujah
so that you can make what an exchange hallelujah hallelujah amen so he go but god said give me the
what the ashes somebody hallelujah ah beautiful somebody say beautiful ashes beautiful ashes
joy for mourning joy for mourning praise for heaviness praise for heaviness oh somebody
tell your neighbor say release what did not work release what did not work so that is why sometimes
when you come to and they are praising god you don't feel like it you you are leaving the house
you know you are moving to sometimes it says you the enemy can put battles on you when it's coming
from the north south east and west that is the day when you come to church that's like you never
dance before do you know what you are doing you are confusing the camp of the enemy
this girl this thing that we are doing is not working let's go

hallelujah hallelujah number five sorrow and science shall flee listen to me sorrow and science
shall flee azar chapter 35 verse 10. the sorrow that you are in somebody it will flee
this month of august you will look for it and you will not find it hallelujah because the god of joy
is visiting you hallelujah my god and he says what and the ransomed of the lord shall return
and come to zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads they shall obtain joy and gladness
and sorrow and
science shall flee away.
Are you ransomed by the Lord?
When we talk about ransom,
we're talking about the redeemed of the Lord.
He said, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.
Hallelujah.
So as long as you are the ransomed of the Lord,
the word of God said you will come,
will return with songs
and everlasting joy.
Hallelujah. So that is why I'm telling you
when you wake up in the morning, I remember one brother,
my brother said, anytime you are in the shower, we hear you singing.
hallelujah because why it's like you are in there and you just want to praise the lord
you are in your car you are singing since and sometimes the song that is coming out of you is
coming out of a place of sacrifice but the more you are singing what are you doing you are pushing sighing and sorrow away hallelujah because the joy of the lord is your what is your strength hallelujah i love the word i love the word flee okay because there are some so many things that
stay with us too long since there are so many things that do what stay with us too long
there are disappointments that have stayed with us too long there are failures that have stayed
with us too long but god releases joy so that sorrow move away since an exchange needs to happen
for you this month god releases joy so that our sorrow will pack up and go hallelujah so as i am
speaking i see sorrow do you are packing up and going in the mighty name of jesus oh somebody sorrow
move in the mighty name of jesus and i declare to everyone that everybody that's here crying you
go home singing oh hallelujah everybody listening to me that is in sorrow you are going home
strengthened because why the joy of the lord is your strength hallelujah oh my mama somebody
shall sorrow your time is up so your time is up give me up in the mighty name of jesus oh hallelujah
oh somebody hallelujah oh you are not clapping your hands hallelujah
hallelujah number six god has not forgotten your tears somebody listen to me we all have areas in
our lives you know that sometimes when you think about it you want to cry do you know that but i
need to tell you that god has not forgotten your tears hallelujah amen mama god has not forgotten
he will see your tears hannah was crying inside do you know some of us our tears do you know there
are people that will be smiling in our face but they are crying inside oh yes do you know that
yes because it's deep so there are some tears that sometimes you don't even have words
because you see the word of god said when hannah went to shiloh she didn't even have words to say
what she wants to go to and here he said all the man of god saw was her lips coming up and down
and the man of god said are you drunk she said i cannot be drunk at this time
since have you ever been through some things that anytime you think about it your heart will just
pound jesus hallelujah but i'm here to tell you that god has not forgotten those tears
hannah cried and cried and cried and cried and cried until god began to answer and that one day
do you know that actually when hannah left shiloh she didn't have the baby in her hands you know
but she believed that god has already done it so today leave this service maybe you might not see
that miracle in your hand right now but i need you to go and believe as you are walking through
the door you are saying father i'm leaving that tear behind i am leaving that sorrow behind as i
walk through the doors of grace international that sorrow will not follow me anymore
hallelujah somebody hallelujah oh so revelation chapter 21 verse 4 let's go there
revelation chapter 21 verse 4. let's read it all together and god oh somebody and what and god
shall wipe away all tears from somebody say from my eyes and there shall be no more death
neither sorrow nor crying neither shall there be any more pain for the former things have passed
away today i want to declare to you that former thing believe you i want some people to come and
testify next sunday that as i walked out of this door those former things have passed away
everything that brings tears in my eyes
it has done what?
has passed away
hallelujah
you know there's a woman that went to a prayer meeting
and this woman had been bleeding for many years
as the service was going on
she healed blood to blood
she took the communion blood
she went into the bathroom
she put some in her pad
came to sit down
by the time she finished the service
all the blood had ceased
oh somebody hallelujah
I need you to believe that your faith can cause something to happen to you
By the time you leave this service
Somebody, whatever the problem is
Somebody, may you receive a phone call this week
That thing is what?
It's over
Hallelujah
And all these things that I'm talking to you about
Is by faith
If you believe all things are what?
To them that what?
Oh somebody, if you believe all things are what?
possible to them that do are really hallelujah number seven can you rejoice before the fig tree
blossoms listen to me some of us we are we can only rejoice when good things are happening
hallelujah some of us i i shared a testimony about a man of god she had been dating this young woman
in united states for a long time as she was prepared he was preparing for the wedding
the family have already started taking the care of the woman then one day he received a phone call
as he was getting prepared to come and speak the message of the gospel to other people
that that relationship is over he said i wanted to die oh he said i did he said i felt so bad that
he kept he kept asking god am i the same person that you are using for miracle science and wonders
since do you know that the enemy can attack you for you to question your god yes oh my god but
that day he came and he stood in the altar he said he preached a message like he's never preached
before after they left the service two years after this same woman called and he had put a knife
into the belly of her own husband and then god said didn't i tell you that i work everything
together for you since all of us we go through those experiences and it steals our joy sometimes
we want that miracle to happen today but since you know that let me tell the other day i think
i was to drown i was running to the job i had to go and give an award on it was i think tuesday
and because of all the activities on the weekend i'm telling you i was so tired and i was driving
and i was just praying in the spirit oh lord i have to get down seven o'clock everybody is going
to be there waiting seven o'clock i have to be there do you know that as i was praying in the
holy spirit praying in the holy do you know that the traffic that should have hit me but do you
know that immediately i walked through the the room like this everything started and i said father
you surely work everything since i need to tell you that god will never be too late and he will
not come early are you hearing me sometimes we want that thing right away because sometimes that
thing that you are wanting so bad can kill you because he's not the end from the beginning so
So you are saying, Father my God, I'm saving you.
Why am I not a millionaire right now?
He said, no, when I put the millions to you, it's going to kill you right now.
But I am preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies.
When the time comes, I will surely bring it to pass.
Have you seen the story of Joseph?
Somebody who had a dream, he saw the sun, the moon, and the stars all bowing to him.
But the next thing that he realized, he found himself as a servant.
Then he found himself in prison.
it's almost as if the destiny that god has given him it will never come to pass today i come to
assure you whatever he has said concerning you it shall surely come to pass one day he you know
even the word of course said he walked in so much favor that even he was in prison he had favor
with the prison guards then they came to me as an interpreted dream do you know that the first
that he interpreted he would have become a servant since i'm telling you i'm telling you today
my god but when the appointed time came god brought him out i need to tell somebody today
when your appointed time come oh god will bring you out and when you come out and you are enjoying
that thing no tribulation no disappointment you have been tested do you know that there are some
things that if god give it to you right now it will cost you to fall so god will wait for that
appointed time when you are so mature so that you can oh let me tell you something i was talking to
a young man yesterday she said i i she said i was in this marriage where i was serving so much
that he said he would she would get up and the the mother-in-law had a restaurant she said i'll
be making 15 soups at the same time she said one day i was standing there making the soup
and they called me and said you are standing here making soup while your husband is marrying another
woman she said i continue to make the soup i did not stop i continue to make the soup my god but
she said when i walked out today i am married to the best man oh hallelujah since i'm telling you
let me tell you god god does do not disappoint us you know since i'm telling you whatever you
are going through right now i need to give you an assurance it is just a season it's not your
permanent state hallelujah if you don't and don't listen to anybody that will try to pull you down
hallelujah the god will see you through hallelujah because the joy of the lord is what is your
strength i'm going to stop with this one and we'll continue next week amen habakkuk chapter 3 verse 17
to 19 hallelujah habakkuk chapter 3 verse 17 to 19 because habakkuk begin to say one day
no matter what i go through i will rejoice since darkness i'm telling you you have to come to a
place where those things that are around you do not bother you so much you gotta pass the test of
faith hallelujah because you know i was coming driving with pastor mary this morning i said
i want to get to a place where i'm like jesus where i'm in the boat the wind will blow the
storms will blow oh everything will blow but i still fall asleep because i know jesus knew he
was not going to die until you come to that place where the wind will blow the storms will come hey
and you are still standing you have not passed the test of faith somebody this month of august i i
beseech you pass the test of faith and somebody shout i believe i believe hallelujah so how about
begin to prophesy although the fig tree shall not blossom neither shall fruit be in the vines it
means that let me tell you plant something you go and look and have you ever been in a state where
you look at something that you have implanted you have you have deposited you have put your
old self in it and that thing don't come out like how you want it to be oh somebody hallelujah but
the habakkuk begin to declare although the fig tree shall not blossom neither shall fruit be in
the vines the labor of the olive shall fail and the field shall yield no meat the flock shall be
cut off from the fold and there shall be no head in the stalls oh go to the next oh go to the next
verse mataka oh somebody rise up he began to declare yet i will rejoice in the lord i will
joy in the god of my salvation this is sabo although my marriage will not be the way i want
it to be my god my job might not be the way have you ever worked in a company where you've done
everything that the promotion come they forgot you my god my god he's saying that even that
my god habakkuk came to a place not means that habakkuk came to a place where his joy did not
come from what he received that joy did not come from happiness the joy came from the lord god
almighty today i pray that you receive the joy of the lord hallelujah my future my job my business
might not blossom the way i want it to be my children hallelujah let me tell a woman of what
was telling me she said i raised my children i put everything in them i did everything to them i did
i gave them everything but she said when i look for them i can't even find them are you going to
kill yourself and die because if you die do you know that there are somebody that wants to call
you mama i jesus christ a powerful man of god just died in ghana it's popular it's everything
he did his will and 50% of his will he gave it to his maids servants he has
started a new trend for all of us we are giving them to the people that love us
I'm telling you I'm telling the man gave 50% and this man is not cheap wealth
to Pastor Mary wealth wealth wealth wealth but he put 50% and gave it to the
maids servants it means that at that particular time when he was dying it was
the main servants that took care of him oh somebody are you hearing me oh somebody listen
when that one door close you better make another door open oh
hallelujah
when your husband says go go hallelujah somebody will pick you up my god
When the marriage is over
Don't stay there and die
They tell you to go
You did not
They said go
Go
Hallelujah
So if they said go
You go
When the company fire you
What happened?
Go
Michael
Do you find another job?
It might be a better door for you
He said the steps of the good man are ordered by the law.
So Habakkuk came to a place, he said,
maybe the business will die.
The children, it will go.
Their marriage, it will go.
Their finances, but one thing that I'm going to do,
I will rejoice in the law.
That is the attitude of faith.
The substance of things hopeful.
The evidence of things.
Oh, not seen
Hallelujah
And come to a place
That you believe that he is working everything together
For your good
One door shut
Walk to the other one
Because the more you grieve for the old door
You cannot enter into the new door
So I shut that door
So that I can move into the new door
May kata somebody pray!
